VINDICATION!!!!

Journal Entry: Wed Oct 21, 2009, 2:39 PM

So the dumbass actually came to school today. The police took her into a room to question her and search for my cellphone. Unfortunately she didn't have it on her so there was nothing they could do to recover my stolen property. I won't be getting my cellphone back as of right now. Hopefully they can do something like search her car to recover it. They might be able to do just that because when they checked her name they found that she had an outstanding warrant in another jurisdiction so they might have the cause to search her car or home looking for something like drugs (hopefully).

I also hope that, in the event they can't recover it, I might be able to pursue some legal channel to gain damages to pay for a new phone and reparations for the lost contacts. I would also demand that she pay any legal fees such a pursuit might cost. If I have no case or such a thing is too costly, I just won't be able to buy a cellphone for a while. Sorry everyone but you will have to call my home phone if you want to talk to me. Ask me and I will send you the number via a message or something. The part that rankles me the most is that this could have been avoided if I had just been paying better attention. I turned my back for half a second to put something away and accidentally left it on the floor when it slipped out of the stuff I was carrying. I feel like a complete moron for letting it happen but hopefully I can come away from this triumphant.

There were some small consolations. Somehow it got around that the cellphone of the girl who sits in the same hall everday (which everyone has managed to identify as me even if they don't know my name) was stolen so people have been asking me for days if it has been recovered or she has been arrested. The stupidity of the masses still manages to surprise me, but the concern of strangers manages to surprise me more. We all know it can be annoying to have someone ask you the same question everyday over and over but deep down it also warms your heart to know that people you don't even know want to know about your plight. Even if it is just because they want to gossip about it later. Let them gossip. If everyone knows she's been arrested that only makes me smile more. On top of that, I got to see her face for the first time today and I can honestly say (though probably with some bias) that the bitch isn't pretty......this for some reason helps. Plus, the cops had to walk her right past me and I got to stare her down the whole time. Not once did she look me in the face. Probably because she's a coward who knows she's screwed. Remember kids, being a thief is only cool if you're the Grey Fox. HOWEVER, the part that really made want to laugh out loud was seeing her in handcuffs. I held it in though until the cops had rounded the corner where I proceeded to smile like a fiend and do a small, but very quiet, victory dance.

So while I am disappointed, saddened, and kind annoyed that they couldn't recover my cellphone, watching her walk away with her head cowed and shame in her eyes while she was paraded down the hall in handcuffs in front of EVERYONE was worth it. It has brought out in me that little side of everyone's personality that enjoys watching someone who has caused them grief suffer. I only wish there had been more people to see or that I could have seen the procession as they handed her over to the other police so they could carry out their warrant in front of everyone who just happened to be downstairs near the library. GOD vindication is good.

thanks for the watch, ma'am. I could use some tips in digital painting from you. I'm really rushing to be decent with it.

XD I don't think I have anything inspiring to tell you. XD All I can say is get comfortable with your tablet. Know it and the program you are using well. And just practice. Take one of your sketches and practice coloring. There are tons of tutorials here on DA that will help you learn all the technical skills involved with whatever program you want to use. The most widely programs include Corel Painter, Photoshop, and Sai. Then adapt that to fit the style of coloring that is you.

I myself use Photoshop and a Wacom tablet. Except I'm painting with a mouse right now cuz I lost my pen. XD I think you'll do just fine. If you can color with traditional mediums then it's just a matter of learning how to use a tablet and paint program.
